PaintArt by Numbers is a manufacturer in Shenyang, north-east China. We are not a trading company with a website and a phone number — we own the printing machines, the paint-filling line, the designers and the people who fold your canvas.
Our story
Started with one printer and a very patient designer
In 2015 our founder was printing canvas for a local art school and filling paint pots by hand for a small gift shop in Shenyang. The first export order was 240 kits to a Dutch subscription box — packed on the floor of a 200 m² unit, with a designer who redrew every illustration by hand because automated colour separation was not good enough.
Twelve years later the unit is 1,800 m², the designers are a team of eight, and the automated tools exist — but the hand check at the end of the line never went away. Every new design still gets painted by one of our workers before it goes to bulk. If a section is too small to hold a number, or a colour reads flat against its neighbour, we change the artwork rather than ship it and hope.
We export to the UK, EU, US, Australia, Canada and the Gulf, and most of our buyers are small brands, gift retailers, subscription boxes and dropshippers who cannot afford a bad batch. That is exactly why the checking matters.

Design & colour
Eight designers convert artwork into numbered patterns, tune colour counts and prepare print-ready files. They answer artwork questions directly — no relay through a salesperson.

Production
Five lines: canvas printing, paint filling, paper printing, brush assembly and kitting. Each line has its own supervisor and its own sign-off sheet.

Quality & export
In-line checks at cutting, filling and kitting, plus a final photo report before cartons close. Export documents are prepared in-house for FOB Dalian shipments.
How we behave
Four rules we do not bend
Your artwork stays yours
Custom designs are exclusive to the buyer. We do not resell them, publish them in our catalogue or show them in our marketing without written permission. NDA signed on request.
We quote what we can deliver
If a lead time is not realistic, we say so before you take the order — not after. Peak season (September to November) books early, and we would rather decline than slip.
Small orders are real orders
A 100-kit first order gets the same designer, the same quality check and the same photo report as a 20,000-kit container. Most of our long-term customers started at 100.
Problems get fixed, not argued
If something arrives wrong, we want photos and a count, not a debate. Reprints, credits or a fix in the next production run — decided within two working days.
Milestones
How the factory grew
2015
Founded in Shenyang with one wide-format printer and hand-filled paints. First export order to the Netherlands.
2018
In-house box printing added, so packaging no longer waited on a third-party print shop. Team reaches 20.
2021
Moved into the current 1,800 m² unit and added a dedicated kitting line for private label orders.
2024
Dropship programme launched with per-order picking, blind packing and daily tracking exports.

You are welcome on the factory floor
Buyers visit us in Shenyang regularly — it is a two-hour flight from Shanghai, and Dalian port is 40 minutes from the door. We will walk you through your sample on the line, show you the paint-filling room and take you to lunch.
